SKILLET is a rock band from Tennessee, which was founded in 1996. To date, the band has released about 9 studio compilations, 4 mini-albums and 2 records with concert hits.

Skillet members: John Cooper (solo, bass guitar), Kori Cooper (backing vocalist, keyboards and rhythm guitar), Set Morrison (solo guitarist), Jen Ledjer (backing vocalist, drummer).

During the 20th anniversary of the band's existence, the members have been constantly changing. John is the only person left in the starting lineup.

Skillet albums have been repeatedly nominated for Grammys. From the very beginning, the band's frontmen were members of two completely different Christian groups: Seraph and Urgent Krai. After the onset of 1996, listening to the recommendations of their pastor, they performed together in the warm-up of the band Fold Zandura. At the same time, they managed to record several common demos. After some time, Trey McLarkin is added to the band's founders, who is regarded as a drummer. About a month after the musicians began working together, they took a serious interest in the ForFront recording studio, with which they signed a contract. Stewar and Cooper accepted this offer with great joy, because they have long dreamed of playing together.

In the same year, together with Embersold Paul, who was their producer, the guys recorded and released their first music collection of the same name. Skillet you can download these tracks from the Internet. They were written by the band's frontmen. A year later, active work began on the recording of the second music collection Hei Yu, Ai lav yor soul, which was released in 1998. When a tour in support of the record took place, John's wife Corey, who played electric guitar and synthesizer, joined the band.

In 2000, in the middle of winter, the band presents its third music collection, called Invincible. As a result of all the changes that have taken place, the band's musical genre has not remained the same. Audio recordings have become much better, they began to sound in a new way. In addition, the collection combines elements of electro and techno music.

Two years later, the band is collecting new material, because they want to record another music collection, which is radically different from all previous ones. The first musical composition is called "Little Little Mor".

Once again, the record was produced by Embersold Paul. Together with the musicians, they worked on their debut. He helped them work with Steer at Capital Records, but that's not all. They also managed to help the Dropline band.

The collection "Aveke" was presented in 2009 on August 25. He took the honorable second position in the hit parade of collections Billboard Top 200. As soon as the album was released, the guys were lucky to sell more than 68 thousand copies. At the moment, this music collection is considered to be the most popular among all records recorded by the band during the entire period of creativity.
